Manitoba Regulations for Forklift Operators:

22.29 (1) No employer shall require or permit a worker to operate a powered lift truck unless the employer has issued a certificate to the worker under this section.

22.29 (2) No employer shall issue a certificate to a worker to operate a powered lift truck unless the employer has first ensured that the worker
(a) Has received instruction, training, and testing in the operation of the powered lift truck in accordance with a code of practice approved and issued under the Act.

The standards require that you are trained and certified with two basic elements. These elements are theory and practical training on the forklift. This program satisfies both requirements, and you enjoy maximum flexibility.
You can complete the online theory after work, after the kids are in bed, or whenever it makes sense for you.

After you complete the online forklift theory course, you will have an appointment at our downtown location (129 Dagmar St) with our trainer to complete your training on the forklift.

Once training is finished, we test you to make sure you can safely operate the forklift. It’s that simple!

In Manitoba Forklift operator licenses expire every three years.  At that time you will need a forklift refresher course.  Your employer should cover the costs at that time.

Your smart certificate will notify you when it is time to get retraining.

Online training can take approximately 2-2.5 hours if you go through the course without stopping. However, you have the option to start and stop at any point in the course to take care of your other responsibilities. You can start from the same place when you are ready.

Training on the forklift usually takes a 1/2 hour to 1 hour. It depends on your experience and skill level. Our job is to make sure you can safely use the forklift if you need more time with the trainer. We will give you more time.

At Onsite, we don’t believe in rigid schedules or making you wait any longer than absolutely necessary.  Some forklift operator training schools do.  Not Onsite.
